Authentic Greek food. Same flavor as the food in Greece. Managed by Greeks. One of the things that impacted me the most of Greece in my visits to that country was their cuisine. At a point that even out of Greece when I'm in big cities, I try to find Greek restaurants sometimes. This one did not disappoint!

The staff are incredibly attentive, friendly, and genuinely invested in ensuring your visit is enjoyable. Whether it's prompt seating, knowledgeable recommendations, or simply a warm smile, the service contributes significantly to the overall wonderful feeling of the place. The chicken kabobs were cooked to perfection. The chicken is incredibly tender, flavorful, and grilled to perfection.

Came here for a lil appetizer dinner! The food was delicious and our waitress was delightful. One piece of the octopus came out a little tough but the kitchen made sure to make it right. Do try the fried smelts! They were delicious and the sauce that comes with them is wonderfully garlicky. Authentic Greek food, pretty sure the place is run by Greeks. There's lots of pretty decorations to look at inside the restaurant, too. Warning: don't sit right at the front door as it often doesn't close all the way as people go in and out and so there is a draft.

What a gem of a Greek Restaurant in The Fan. Service was excellent, food was delicious., prices, reasonable. Parking can be hit or miss in The Fan, so take that into consideration. Definitely authentic. Will return.

I am so pleased that Richmond has a Greek tavern/restaurant! I've recently come back from Greece (with friends) - so had to try out Athens Tavern...wow! The service and food was absolutely superb! We've ordered several hot appetisers, all were so lovely, cooked to perfection! Try the mushroom soup. We were served by a lovely young lady who was so attentive, warm & professional. We'll definitely be back! Thank you for a lovely evening, σας αγαπάμε όλους
